1. Permitted use

GhostStream is a general-purpose, local HTML5 video recording tool intended only for non-DRM content that the user is legally permitted to access, copy, or save. Permitted examples may include user-created content, content expressly authorized by the copyright owner, public-domain content, and other uses allowed by applicable law.

2. User responsibility

Before recording, saving, using, sharing, or distributing content, users are solely responsible for confirming compliance with applicable laws, website terms, copyright licenses, privacy rights, publicity rights, and other third-party rights. Access to a video does not by itself grant permission to copy or distribute it.

3. Prohibited use

GhostStream must not be used to bypass DRM, paywalls, access controls, encryption, or other technological protection measures. It must not be used to infringe copyright, privacy, publicity, contractual, or other legal rights, or to record or distribute unlawful content.

4. No content service or affiliation

GhostStream does not provide, host, upload, analyze, or distribute recorded media. It does not represent that a user has permission from a content owner or website and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any video platform, content provider, website, or browser vendor. Recordings are generated and stored locally on the user's device.

5. Assumption of responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, users are responsible for their use of GhostStream and the resulting consequences. Users assume responsibility for complaints, claims, penalties, losses, or disputes arising from unauthorized recording, storage, use, sharing, or distribution of content.

6. Purchases, licenses, and device limits

When GhostStream Pro becomes available, it will be offered as a one-time purchase unless checkout clearly states otherwise. A Pro license is personal, non-transferable, and may be activated on up to three browser profiles or devices. A license may not be resold, published, shared as a public key, or used to provide access to unrelated third parties. The free Chrome Web Store release does not contain an active checkout or license-entry interface.

7. Refunds and revocation

A purchaser may request a refund within 14 days of purchase by emailing ronanzeng@gmail.com with the order email and transaction reference. Refunds are processed through the original payment provider. After a refund, chargeback, or fraudulent transaction, the associated Pro entitlement and device activations may be revoked. This policy does not limit any mandatory consumer rights available under applicable law.

8. Support and account security

Support requests should be sent to ronanzeng@gmail.com. Users are responsible for keeping license keys private and for reporting suspected unauthorized use. Never send payment-card numbers, account passwords, or other sensitive credentials in a support request.

9. No warranties and limitation of liability

GhostStream is provided “as is” and “as available,” without a guarantee of compatibility with any particular website, uninterrupted recording, output quality, or file integrity. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims liability for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or data-loss damages. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.

10. Changes and legal advice

These terms may be updated when the product or applicable requirements change. If you are uncertain whether a recording is lawful, do not record it and consult a qualified legal professional in your jurisdiction.

GhostStream 是一款通用的本地 HTML5 视频录制工具，仅用于录制用户有权访问、复制或保存的无 DRM 内容，例如用户自行创作的内容、已获得版权所有者明确授权的内容、公共领域内容，以及适用法律允许录制的其他内容。

录制、保存、使用、分享或传播内容前，用户必须自行确认相关行为符合适用法律、网站服务条款、版权许可、隐私权、肖像权和其他第三方权利。能够访问某段视频并不当然意味着用户有权复制或传播该内容。

用户不得使用 GhostStream 绕过 DRM、付费墙、访问控制、加密措施或其他技术保护措施，也不得将其用于侵犯版权、隐私权、肖像权、合同权利或其他合法权益，或用于录制、传播违法内容。

GhostStream 不提供、托管、上传、分析或传播录制内容，不代表用户已获得内容所有者或网站授权，也不隶属于或受任何视频网站、内容平台、网站或浏览器厂商认可。录制文件仅在用户设备上生成和保存。

在适用法律允许的最大范围内，用户应对其使用 GhostStream 的行为及其后果承担责任。因未经授权录制、保存、使用、分享或传播内容而产生的投诉、索赔、处罚、损失或争议，由用户自行承担。

GhostStream Pro 上线后，除结账页另有明确说明外，将采用一次性买断许可。许可限购买者本人使用，最多可在 3 个浏览器配置或设备上激活，不得转售、公开发布或提供给无关第三方。当前提交 Chrome 应用商店的免费版本不包含可用的购买或激活入口。

购买者可在购买后 14 天内通过 ronanzeng@gmail.com 提交退款申请，并提供订单邮箱和交易编号。退款通过原支付服务商处理；退款、拒付或欺诈交易完成后，相应 Pro 权益及设备激活可被撤销。本政策不限制适用法律规定的强制性消费者权利。

技术支持和退款申请请发送至 ronanzeng@gmail.com。用户应妥善保管激活码，不要在支持邮件中发送银行卡号、账户密码或其他敏感凭据。

GhostStream 按“现状”和“可用状态”提供，不保证适用于特定网站，也不保证录制连续性、兼容性、画质或文件完整性。在适用法律允许的最大范围内，开发者不对间接、附带、后果性、特殊或数据丢失损害承担责任；依法不能排除的责任不受本条限制。如不确定某项录制是否合法，请勿录制，并咨询所在地的合格法律专业人士。
